Kimi no Iru Machi Chp 53 + 54 (Ignition; Up in Flames)

In chapter 53, the tension rises between Haruto and Narumi who appears to have taken a liking to Yuzuki. We see the crew going to the apple field to look at some apples for use on the upcoming school festival. Narumi shows them around and teaches Yuzuki a thing or two. Then, Yuzuki accidentally falls and was reached out by Narumi. The emphasis focused on the two of them holding hands, abeit, for a different cause altogether. But still, they are holding hands. Haruto got jealous thinking that it was his job instead of Narumi. Subsequently, Narumi needs to go and settle some things, related to apples, I think. It was going to be a chance for Haruto to patch things up with Yuzuki after the incident where Haruto suddenly held her hand. However, Yuzuki suddenly wanted to accompany Narumi. Haruto took the initiative to come along but was met by a hostile rejection from Narumi asking him to just go home. Haruto pondered after that thinking if Yuzuki is avoiding him due to that incident. He asked Kikukawa about it. She answered that she wouldn’t mind if someone holds her hand given that he is someone she likes. Kikukawa then hurries on to grab onto Haruto’s hands, seemingly misunderstanding the intentions behind Haruto’s question. The chapter concludes.
Kimi no Iru Machi 54: Up in Flames
Chapter 54 shows more development. In my opinion, I dislike these few chapters since Yuzuki has been depicted to be more mean which sets the basis of more hate for her for fans of Nanami. What used to depict Yuzuki as thoughtful, careless and caring has now become oblivious, frustrating and simply cold.
In this chapter, Haruto and Kikukawa’s misunderstanding got bigger. Haruto couldn’t find a chance to settle it with Kikukawa. This is rather surprising since such things shouldn’t be dragged any longer. Unfortunately, Kikukawa said something about Haruto confessing during the folk dance (where most couples dance, or are asked to danced by lovers). She ran off after that, leaving no time for Haruto to sort things out. The next day, Nanami, Kikukawa and Haruto were at cooking club. Kikukawa was seen attaching herself to Haruto as if lovers. This makes Haruto awkward, especially because Nanami was also there. Yuzuki later walked past the home econs room with Narumi. They seem rather close…. Haruto was distracted and cut his fingers. Kikukawa took the opportunity to sucked onto his fingers, stopping the bleeding. This takes Haruto by surprise. A classmate then looked for Kikukawa and she left after that. This leaves Nanami and Haruto in the home econs room. Haruto attempted to explain everything but Nanami merely shrugged him off by telling him he doesn’t need to exlain everything to her. It’s funny how Haruto took the trouble to explain to Nanami when he already had given up on her, or has he? He should instead explain this clearly to Kikukawa and tell Yuzuki directly that he likes her. Things are messed up as this confusing love polygons ensues. Personally, this is rather sad since Haruto and Yuzuki seems to have endless obstacles standing between them. Let’s wait and see.

Kikukawa lets her hair down starting chapter 53, why?
Bakemonogatari
July 13, 2009 at 9:48 pm | In Bakemonogatari | Comments OffSeems like the group that i’m translating Bakemonogatari for doesn’t feedback very well. It has gone through a phrase of horrible editing. Well, I can’t help it since if I had to edit as well as translate, it would take twice as much time. I feel like stopping the project and doing a side project called Love Get Chu. currently, i’m in the midst of downloading the first 13 episodes. It features a bunch of girls training to be seiyus and their endeavors in the process. The romance part is pretty good as well. Look forward to it, I hope.
Princess Lover

Hitode by itself, is a very good group, their first episode has good quality but the translations were not very specified. But that’s okay because no conversation is left out. The problem about Hitode is whether they would be consistent. Seriously, a good fansub needs not be 100% quality or speed, but release at a consistent pace so as not to disappoint. Hopefully Hitode, upon seeing that they are the only group, will be consistent.

July 12, 2009 at 7:48 am | In Ane Doki, Manga | Comments OffI read about this on randomcuriosity. I haven’t had a good shounen manga in a while, currently Kimi no Iru machi is the only shounen manga that i’m following. The first 2 chapters have already been scanlated and released by imangascans.
Shinkyoku Polyphonica Crimson S 09 – 12 END
July 10, 2009 at 10:04 pm | In Polyphonica Crimson S | Comments OffIt’s a little late but at least I finished this. I stalled at episode 8 trying to wait for imur88-nekomini to finish. But I guess they were too slow and any more delays will see this into the end of summer. That’s pretty bad since I don’t like to be like 1 season late for a show that I watched seasons ago.
Anyway, Polyphonica Crimson S is one of the most undersubbed show of Spring. Yet, this is the best, absolutely the best, of the entire Spring. As compared to the first season which aired in the same period in 2007, this prequel features Phoron before he becomes professional. It shows his school life, his character and interactions and how he met Corti. Of course, the reason why this second season is better is because it features a lot not just about fights, but about drama, and especially romance. It develops Corti and Phoron’s relationship with one another. They love each other, definitely. The drawings are also better and nicer, much more moe. Can’t seem to tell why people don’t like this show. This will be my recommended series for Spring 2009. You don’t have to watch the first season to watch this. It has a lot of differences. This one’s definitely better.
Lastly, all good things come to an end. Just like this adaptation is of polyphonica according to the crimson series novel. Hopefully we get to see more of this show. I love it. Corticarte is so cute <3. Thanks for fansubbers [imur88-nekomini] who subbed this series, as well as [gleam] who finished the series. Though they are chinese subbers, they are more diligent and consistent in their releases. I personally translate from chinese too, so don’t discriminate us. We love animes like you do, and we just want to bring them to you as soon as possible.
