I haven’t been following Valkyria Chronicles lately, i’m like 6 episodes late now. To say the least, i’m don’t even know the first opening theme was released 2 months ago… So I just downloaded it today. Anyways, this is a random blog to let out how I feel after watching 2 episodes of it. Valkyria Chronicles is a good show, about war and stuff and the drama and romance is pretty good. I heard there is a second season already confirmed. This makes me feel that the firt season will end badly just to lead to a second season.

Episodes 09 developes stuff about the enemy’s camp which shows the conflict as well as the story of the Azure Witch. They seem like good people but are forced to join the war. Hopefully a good conclusion to the show may arise where the war stops. Episode 10 shows Welkin and Alicia getting stranded on a cabin due to a blizzard. Thanks to Welkin’s good biology knowledge, both he and Alicia did not have to brave through the storm whichis practically impossible. Welkin heard the sounds of some birds and concluded that a blizzard is coming, much to Alicia’s puzzlement at first. Then the blizzard came and the relationship of both of them deepens. They have chemistry with one another as they blush when sharing a blanket. Alicia tries to go deeper but Welkin avoids it. This, i’m not too clear, but why? Later on, an enemy soldier came in with a grenade without a safety pin. Initially he was hostile but later on, they became friends. They talked and Alicia treated his wounds. The man later died but managed to put the safety pin back on. Welkin and Alicia buried him and reunited with their platoon.

My feelings, as the buzz about oncoming episodes actually made me dread watching it. Mainly because more drama unfold and particularly Alicia’s relationship with Welkin. Faldio, I heard, confessed  to Alicia at a certain episode and even told Welkin that he has feelings for Alicia. Knowing the type of person Welkin is, he would most probably not fight with Faldio. This is saddening and I think Alicia also has some feelings for Faldio. This is rather sad since it reflects how little Alicia understands about Welkin. Nevertheless, i’m not sure if this is what happened, but don’t blame me since i’m behind. I will try to get ahead soon.
