A thrilling 2 episodes of Valkyria Chronicles. Things get serious from an initial enjoyable trip to the ball to the kidnapping of the princess which got Alicia involved. Always at the right place at the right time… Anyway, Alicia is very beautiful in this 2 episodes mainly because she wears a dress for the first time. Also her hair was let down to a ponytail. However, not forgetting, Isara as well which spots her own style which may not be as cute as Alicia. But it’s always the prettiest or the most handsome who shines, isn’t it? In my opinion, everyone has their own beauty, Isara personality is what I like quiet and does not utter much, despite being oustracised by others because she’s a Darcsen, she still works the hardest. Ramal is slowly starting to warm up to her. Sparks are flying, this would be one of the romance i’m looking forward to.

As for the Alicia’s part, Welkin and Alicia exhibited trust in one another when she told Welkin to shoot while being held at gunpoint. Welkin hesitated to shoot, which he did not mention after the incident when Faldio brought up the point. He said that Welkin sounds very arrogant at times and said that did he think of what’s going to happen with Alicia if he misses. Welkin apparently did not take the question seriously and said he doesn’t know why he opened fire. He then came up with the fact that protecting the princess is the most important. Faldio later told Welkin that how will he react if he told him he likes Alicia. The episode ends off with Welkin speechless while Faldio walks away. This leads to the question, will the episodes to come or even the second season spot a rivalry in terms of good and bad between Welkin and Faldio. Hopefully not. I personally spport Welkin and Alicia being together. But I heard from others that Welkin does not act like himself in the episodes to come which leads to certain blunders. Maybe it could be that Welkin has feelings for Alicia but on the other hand wants to value friendship with Faldio. I will find out soon enough.

Isara’s relationship is most probably the slowly developing kind. Unlike Alicia’s love triangle, Isara only has Ramal.

Hinagiku Moe

Sora no Manimani ep. 02 ~First Star~

Hime cursing Mihoshi when she interupted her planned confession

Another great episode of Sora no Manimani. In this episode, a new character is introduced and her name is Mashita Hime. She has a crush on Saku and was jealous that Mihoshi was always hanging out and sticking to Saku. The episode then ventures a little into her past where she was made fun of because of her curly nature of her hair. Once, she was late for school and on the bus, her hair accidentally got stucked onto the upper button of Saku. She offered to cut her hair off but Saku mentioned that her hair is beautiful and instead he managed to get it off. This was when Hime fell in love with Saku.

The Astronomy Club is still looking for members to join before the deadline. One more member is needed to reach the minimum of 5 for the club to be established. Hime eventually joined solely for the reason of wooing Saku after hearing that Mihoshi is not dating Saku. This meets the minimum criteria for a club and they called a celebration. During the celebration, the student council president paid a visit stating that the club does not have meaningful activities except star gazing which depends on the weather. The Astronomy club president initiated a star gazing session that night but it rained. They made their way to Saku’s house and the members get to know Saku’s mother. Mihoshi enjoys a humorous reunion with Saku’s mother. They went home after that. The second night, the club met again to climb on top of the hill to gaze at the stars. Hime came dressed very atractively in a bid to attract Saku. However, Mihoshi commented that mosquitoes will prey on her exposed skin and she changed immediately. The club members all have a mountain bike to cycle up except Hime. So the president offered her a ride. When they got there, Hime and the president were almost half dead.

The equipment was set up and the star gazing began. Explanation of some astronomy terms is interesting and a few references to animes and ultraman as well. Saku explained some of the terms making Mihoshi really happy because he remembered what Mihoshi said to him. Saku shared a personal talk with Sayo indicating that they may have met when they were young as well. The next episode or the next few should be about her, I think.

Thoughts: A lighthearted anime. This episode introduces a love rival in the form of Hime. Although Saku and Mihoshi are not dating, they are close to one another. Will we see more developments in romance or will comedy or drama take its place. Nevertheless, Mihoshi is happy with the fact that Saku is back. She looks happy while looking at Saku during the visit to his house. Saku constantly finds her a nuisance but does Saku have feelings for her? This is what I want to find out.
